Cookie Policy

Last updated: January 2026

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your computer or mobile device. Cookies can store information such as your preferences, session identifiers, and other data that helps a website function or remember information between visits.

We may also use similar technologies (for example: local storage, SDK-based identifiers, and device/browser signals) for the same purposes described in this policy. When we use the word “cookies,” we mean cookies and similar technologies unless we state otherwise.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies to make Recursity work reliably for you. Some cookies are strictly necessary to provide the Service (for example, to keep you signed in as you navigate between pages). Other cookies help us understand usage patterns so we can improve performance, fix bugs, and build better features.

We do not use advertising pixels or third-party ad trackers for targeted advertising. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and provide any required choices.

3. Categories of Cookies

3.1 Essential cookies

Essential cookies are required for the Service to function. They are used for things like maintaining login sessions, routing requests safely, and remembering security settings.

If you disable essential cookies, you may be unable to sign in, stay signed in, or use certain features. Because these cookies are required to provide the Service, they generally cannot be switched off through consent tools.

3.2 Analytics cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how the Service is used, for example which features are most used, where users encounter errors, and how performance varies across devices.

We use PostHog for analytics. Where required by law (such as in the EU/EEA/UK), we will set analytics cookies only after you provide consent through our cookie banner.

3.3 Payment-related cookies

If you purchase a subscription or other paid offering, checkout is processed by Lemon Squeezy (and its payment infrastructure partners such as Stripe). Those providers may set cookies or similar technologies to enable:

  • Checkout flow functionality (e.g., keeping the payment session consistent)
  • Fraud and abuse prevention
  • Compliance and security controls

3.4 Security and fraud prevention cookies

Security-related cookies and signals help us protect the Service and our users. These may be used to detect suspicious logins, reduce bot traffic, prevent account takeover, and enforce rate limits.

Security technologies may also help us investigate and respond to incidents. We use these controls to protect Recursity’s availability and prevent misuse.

4. Your Choices

You have choices about how cookies are used. The options available to you depend on where you live and which laws apply.

  • EU/EEA/UK: We display a cookie banner and obtain consent for non-essential cookies where required. If you reject analytics cookies, the Service should still function, but we may have less insight into product usage.
  • California (CCPA/CPRA): We provide an opt-out mechanism where applicable. Recursity does not run advertising pixels.
  • Browser controls: You can control cookies via your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent login and core functionality.

If you clear cookies, you may be logged out and your preferences may reset.

5. Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. If we make material changes, we may provide notice in the Service or by other reasonable means.
